Spreading Kindness to Dunbar Village

Our 3rd grade Kindness Crew didn’t let a change in plans deter their plans for kindness. Since our in-person visit to Dunbar Village had to be postponed, these sweet third graders worked to create goodie bags with notes written specifically to each individual resident.

The reindeer bags of sweet treats, along with handmade cards from all our 3rd - 5th graders will be delivered this week to spread joy and cheer to all Dunbar Village’s residents.

Kindness Crew First Responders Appreciation

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Kindness Crew members honored local first responders by showing appreciation. They greeted, served, thanked, and interviewed members of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Bay St. Louis Police Department, Waveland Police Department, and Bay St. Louis Fire Department. Thank you to all who made it out and spent time with our students.

We are so grateful to our community’s first responders and their selfless service to us all.

Kindness Rocks!

One message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day, outlook, life.

Students in 3rd through 5th grades have been painting rocks with inspirational messages on them in Character Education Class during the month of October.

Check out our 5th grade Kindness Crew this afternoon! Today they took all 350+ rocks to create a rock garden in our recess area. We are so proud of all students for taking the time to write a message and paint a rock for someone who may one day need it, and also proud of our 5th grade Kindness Crew for getting the garden completed. Also, we give a super big thank you to Ms. Ho for all the work she does to make these special kindness projects happen. We appreciate her dedication!

Kindness Crew Food Drive

North Bay Elementary School students showed up in an incredible way this month! For our November Kindness Project, students throughout the school were invited to bring in non-perishable food items to help those in need this season. The food collection drive was a huge success. On Friday, the final tally was 3,722 food items collected for a weight of 2,904 pounds! Terri and Tom Woolbright of Hancock Food Pantry picked up the cans Friday and Dr. Ladner had chip in his truck, too! The Woolbright’s said this was the biggest collection from a K-12 school they’ve ever received!

To assist with this gigantic load, the NBE 4th Grade Kindness Crew was utilized to work for about an hour to help us get these item loaded up and on their way to the Hancock Food Pantry. Thanks to all North Bay students, families, and community who took part in the donations.
